Mosac patron Tazeen Ahmad, passed away on 6 November 2019
We are so very sad to have lost our inspirational patron Tazeen Ahmad. An investigative reporter and presenter, Tazeen died of cancer aged just 48. In the Guardian’s obituary on 24/11/19, the newspaper reported that Tazeen “tackled controversial and sensitive subjects in her work for the BBC, ITN, Channel 4 and NBC. Fearlessly confronting wrongdoers, she changed lives with her reports, some of which led to successful criminal proceedings.Tazeen is survived by two sons, her mother, and her brothers, Nadeem and Faheem.”
Tazeen helped to raise awareness of the work that Mosac does to support families affected by child sexual abuse, generating donations and signposting non-abusing parents to our unique support services. Our thoughts are with her family, especially her two young sons, at this very sad time.
